Free Image to STL Converter: logo and silhouette to 3D
Turn a logo, silhouette or drawing into a 3D model: the dark parts of your image stand up from an optional base plate. Great for signs, badges, cookie-cutter style shapes and wall art. For a whole object in 3D from a photo, try AI Photo to 3D instead.
How to use it
- Add an image. Simple black-and-white logos and silhouettes work best.
- Move the darkness cut-off until the preview shows just the shape you want.
- Set the width, how tall the shape stands, and the base plate (0 for none).
- Download the STL. Print it flat.
Printing tips
- High-contrast images give clean edges. Clean up a busy logo in any image editor first.
- Tick invert if your logo is light on a dark background.
- Set the base plate to 0 to get just the shape, for magnets, badges or inlays.
Questions
Can I turn a photo into a 3D model?
This tool makes a raised shape from the dark parts of an image, which suits logos and silhouettes. For a photo of a real object, AI Photo to 3D builds a full 3D model instead.
Why does my logo come out blocky?
The image is turned into a grid of raised pixels. Use a larger, simpler image and a bigger width for smoother edges.
Can I use a company logo?
Only if you have the rights to it, such as your own business's logo.
