The short version of what belongs on STLShelf. The Terms of Service are the full rules; this page explains them in plain words.

What belongs here

  • Print-ready dinosaurs, cars and model boats (STL, 3MF or OBJ) that you designed or have the rights to share.
  • Honest listings: photos of the actual model, real print settings, and the right scale.
  • Models made with AI tools are welcome, as long as they are labeled "Made with AI".
  • "Inspired by" car designs are fine without the maker's logos or trademarks.

What isn't allowed

  • Other creators' work, re-uploaded or lightly changed.
  • Weapons, or parts made to build or modify firearms.
  • Anything illegal, hateful, sexually explicit, or meant to harass someone.
  • Malware, or files that aren't what the listing says.

How every upload is checked

  1. Automatic file check. We confirm each file uploaded completely and is a real 3D model, measure its size in millimetres, look for holes that slicers trip over, and make a preview image. We also spot the same file uploaded by a different account.
  2. AI pre-review. An AI assistant reads the listing and photos and flags anything a reviewer should look at.
  3. A person approves it. Nothing goes live until a human reviewer says yes, usually within 24 hours.

Report a listing

If a model copies your work, follow the DMCA & takedown policy. For anything else (a broken file, a misleading listing, or content that breaks these rules), email support@stlshelf.com with the model's link and what's wrong. We read every report.
